Deborah

Hello, my name is Deborah. I am proud to have grown alongside Wattle Planet — from Centre Manager to currently the Operations Manager.

I am an Early childhood professional of some 25 years of experiences and roles both in Australia and Malaysia in managing and leading successful centres. It is through each of these experiences I have enjoyed a rich and varied learning journey that has helped to shape my knowledge and inform my pedagogy.

Now, as a grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren, my connection to the early years has deepened even further, offering me a renewed perspective on children’s growth and wellbeing. I am also proud to be a voice for our families and children on Early Years Advisory Forums, advocating for quality, inclusion, and positive outcomes for every child.

But most importantly I am a lifelong learner that is passionate about sharing my knowledge with other active learners, both adult and children, in a collaborative culture that benefits all. Not only as successful learners but as happy and balanced beings that enjoy all life can offer.

Madolyn

Hello, my name is Madolyn, and I am the Centre Manager at Wattle Planet Wantirna. I have been working in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector for over eight years, and I am also a proud mother of three.

My journey into early childhood began when my youngest daughter started kindergarten. Inspired by the warm and nurturing environment she experienced, I felt a strong calling to pursue high-quality early childhood education myself. I wanted to support more children in their growth and ensure they have the very best start to their lifelong learning journey.

Since joining Wattle Planet, I have had the privilege of growing alongside the centre—beginning as a Room Leader, then progressing into administration and Assistant Centre Manager roles, and now proudly leading our wonderful team as Centre Manager. Building strong, meaningful relationships with children, families, and educators has been at the heart of my work throughout this journey.

I am proud to foster a positive, happy working environment and to lead a team that is enthusiastic, collaborative, and dedicated. Together, we create a nurturing, home-like learning atmosphere that is truly special to Wattle Planet Wantirna—where every child and family feels safe, supported, welcomed, and encouraged to thrive.

I look forward to meeting you and your family, and warmly welcoming you into the Wattle Planet community.

Paula

Hello my name is Paula and I am the Educational Leader at Wattle Planet Early Learning – Vermont South. I began my career in early childhood education as a Certificate III educator, progressed to a Diploma, and later completed a Bachelor of Education while working in the sector. With over ten years of experience, I bring a reflective and collaborative approach to my leadership.

I support educators to design meaningful learning experiences, strengthen their documentation practices, and connect theory to practice in ways that celebrate each child’s voice and individuality. I also value relationships, shared reflection, and professional growth—creating a culture where educators feel supported, confident, and inspired to deliver high-quality programs that reflect the values of Wattle Planet and the Early Years Learning Framework.

What I love most about this profession is the relationships we build—seeing children, families, and educators grow together through trust, curiosity, and shared moments of learning. It’s those connections that truly shape our work.

Miranda

Hello, my name is Miranda, and I am the centre Manager at Wattle Planet Rockbank. I am a proud mum of two beautiful young girls who inspire me every day. For almost ten years, I have worked in the early childhood sector, a field that has truly become my passion and purpose. Watching children grow, learn, and develop into their own unique selves brings me endless joy and fulfillment.

As a Centre Manager, I take great pride in my role — not only in supporting the children and families within my care but also in creating a happy, positive environment where my team can grow and flourish. I believe that when educators feel valued, supported, and inspired, they in turn provide the highest quality of care and education for our children. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch my team develop into the wonderful educators they are and to see our centre thrive as a result of our shared dedication and love for what we do.

I believe every child deserves the best possible start in life — filled with care, love, and opportunities to explore the world around them. My goal has always been to provide the kind of experience every parent wishes for their child: one where they are nurtured, supported, and encouraged to shine.

I treat every child as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and accepted for exactly who they are. Embracing each child’s individuality and helping them reach their full potential is at the heart of everything I do. Watching their confidence grow and being a part of their early learning journey is the most rewarding part of my work, and I feel privileged to make a difference in their young lives.
